| Loud, distinct call from high up in tall trees. Although it tried to drink from the hummingbird feeder once. |
Baltimore Oriole |
| Nicely framed, I think. |
Cardinal |
| Just passing through, I suspect...I have never seen one before. It stayed for a few days in early May. |
Rose Breasted Grosbeak |
| Never seen one on this perch before. |
Redtail Hawk |
| Not too many wildflowers along the roadsides in May. This yellow variety was a common one. |
Monarch on wildflower |
| I snapped this butterfly on the 'square' in Glenwood, Iowa. The flower is a variety of lilac...a hybrid I suspect. |
Tiger Swallowtail |
| I wouldn't mind having this view out my window on Fifth Street. Holstein cows and others. |
Kansas Pasture |
| Blooming in my side yard, after the daffodils and tulips have gone. |
Iris in late May |
| Squirrel having a good day. |
